A Fresh Look at Fresh Air.
Simple. Precise. Reliable. Fresh Air Ventilation.

To address indoor air quality, fresh air ventilation is recommended by HVAC engineers and is prescribed in ASHRAE standard 62.2. In many states, fresh air ventilation is required to meet building codes for new construction or to obtain energy tax credits in existing homes. The FAS Fresh Air System from Field Controls meets these requirements by delivering fresh air automatically and efficiently. The FAS includes proven components for simple, reliable, fresh air delivery for improved indoor air quality.

  • Delivers fresh air automatically, year round.
  • Enables system to meet ASHRAE 62.2 ventilation standard.
  • Creates uniform temperature and humidity throughout the home.
  • Enhances effectiveness of whole house filtration and air purification.
Your home needs to be energy efficient.
It also needs fresh air. Efforts to make your home more energy efficient such as replacing windows and doors, adding insulation, and applying sealants will reduce natural air exchange with the outdoors. The result is compromised indoor air quality with increased concentrations of airborne bacteria, mold, viruses and other allergens.

Healthy Home System Control
It’s important to deliver fresh air in a way that maintains energy efficiency. The Field Controls Fresh Air System does just that, providing tempered, fresh air using the existing air handler and duct system. The Healthy Home System Control operates the HVAC system blower to deliver fresh air throughout the entire home. The HHSC is set by the contractor and works independently of the thermostat, providing better control and more consistent operation.
Fresh Air Damper
Our Fresh Air Damper remains closed until instructed to open by the Healthy Home System Control. It then opens to allow fresh air to be pulled into the return plenum where it is mixed with conditioned air, filtered, and distributed to the rest of the house.
